Yesterday was my Second Blogiversary. Blogging for two years. Wow, out there and online even with my total lack of technical acumen. Woo Hoo. My plan for my blog was to keep a record of my sewing but my life is so much more than this and my hither thither brain makes it impossible for me to stick with just that. Still, as they say, I'm loving it!!!
Which means it's time for a giveaway. I dropped Ruby at her dad's (and believe me getting her out of bed on a Saturdaty was no mean feat) and on the way back called into the The Cheap Shop iu Tiptree. It is not cheap, to be fair it is not expensive either, but it is an emporium of craft gorgeousness. I was restrained and I did have to get her some soluble vilene for her textiles class. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!
So, would you like to win this?
It is six fat quarters, some handmade felt flowers, a skein of Anchor Embroidery thread and a recyled paper sketchbook.
Leave me a comment telling me how you spent your weekend, and if you share this on your blog leave me another comment telling me so for another chance to win it.
Have a good Sunday :)
Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteI spent the weekend watching the rugby - fantastic!
My son plays rugby and is really into it so we did a fair bit of that too :)
Deletecongratulations .. you must be having fun for the time to fly by xx I have been quilting with friends and sharing food with family xx
ReplyDeleteThank you kindly, Glad you're still with me :)
DeleteLet me know next time you are in Tiptree, we could meet for a coffee. I have spent the weekend watching the Olympics and the rugby: perfect!
ReplyDeleteI will, and look forward to it :)
DeleteI was just going to say did you know Catherine is in Tiptree - but she's just told you above! Happy Blogiversary. I spent yesterday in Oxford either shopping or meeting friends for lunch and today basting a quilt.
ReplyDeleteShopping and friends, always a good time :) Basting, I'm still putting off cos of moving the sofa!!
DeleteHappy blogversary:-) I spent this weekend playing Monopoly and going for a muddy walk!
ReplyDeleteThank you:) My sist!er and I played Monopoly at least once a week when we were kids (back then when games came out of a box) and now I avoid it if I can but everyone in my family loves it so that's not as often as you'd think
DeleteThe Cheap Shop is like a little a treasure chest. Pass by there and you will have no idea, go in there and wow! You'll probably come out about an hour later with a big bag of goodies and a lighter purse.
ReplyDeleteHhaa much lighter purse! I have a friend who wont take her card in only cash as she doesn't trust herself!
DeleteCongrats! We took the kids to see the lego movie and played/tidied in the garden
ReplyDeleteOoh it's a couple of years since I saw a lego film. My son's are just "too old for that now mum" apparently. I miss that. I miss going to the school gate, doing the PTA and all those things. I CAN wait to be a gran though hahaha!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOoh I just love the Cheap Shop and I always come out spending much more than I intended - so not so cheap in the long run. Our weekend was spent visiting family and trying to avoid the atrocious weather. Would love to take part in your giveaway please.
ReplyDeletePatricia
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. It's never cheap for me either but it is a lovely experience :)
DeleteWe went up to Gwithian in North Cornwall to watch the massive waves and eat soup in our favourite coastal cafe. Congratulations on reaching two years...keep going!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a really good way to spend a weekend, have a great week :)
